# Quizzes

> Test yourself with AI-generated quizzes from your deck. Four question types, instant feedback, and explanations for every answer.

Quizzes test your material from a different angle than flashcards: you actively retrieve information and see every answer evaluated immediately, which reveals gaps you might not notice otherwise.

## When to use quizzes

Testing yourself is itself a form of studying: research shows a quiz strengthens memory more than restudying the same material (the testing effect). Quizzes also break the "illusion of knowing" that flashcards can create, because answering in a new format is harder than recognizing a card. Take one after finishing a topic to check what actually stuck.

## Question types

* **Single choice**: pick the one correct answer.
* **Multiple choice**: several answers can be correct.
* **True / false**: decide whether a statement holds. Some false statements are intentionally close to the truth.
* **Fill in the blank**: type the missing term. AI evaluates meaning, so correct synonyms and paraphrases count.

## Taking a quiz

Open your deck, select the **Quiz** tab, choose how many questions and which types to include, and click **Start Quiz**. After submitting, the results screen shows your score plus every question with your answer, the correct answer, and an AI explanation based on your material.

> Sort your results by **Incorrect** to find your weak topics, then focus your next flashcard
