# Creating decks

> Create decks in Studyflash by uploading files, recording classes, pasting text, importing from Anki, or writing content yourself.

There are several ways to get material into a deck. Pick whichever fits your source:

> **[Upload a document](https://studyflash.com/creating/upload-files.md)**
>
> PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or images. AI turns it into study materials.

> **[Record a class](https://studyflash.com/creating/record-lecture.md)**
>
> Record live in class. AI transcribes and builds your deck.

> **[Paste text](https://studyflash.com/creating/upload-files.md#paste-text)**
>
> Paste notes, articles, or any text to create a deck without a file.

> **[Import from Anki](https://studyflash.com/creating/import-anki.md)**
>
> Bring your existing `.apkg` decks into Studyflash.

## Create content manually

You can also write content yourself: add flashcards by hand in any deck, write your own summary, or build a mind map manually. Handy when you want full control or already have your own notes.
