# Deck sharing

> Share any Studyflash deck or course with a link. Recipients preview the content and save their own copy in one click.

Send any deck or course to another person with a single link. They get a preview and can save their own independent copy in one click. No exports, no permissions.

## How it works

**1. Share**

Open the deck, click **Share** in the header or the **⋯** menu, and copy the generated link.

**2. They preview**

Recipients see the deck name and content without needing an account.

**3. They save**

With a free account, they click **Save to my library** and pick where to put it.

Copies are independent snapshots: your later edits do not reach their copy, and theirs do not affect yours.

> [!WARNING]
>
> Each link can be claimed **once**; generate a new link per person. You cannot claim your own link,
> so test it in a private window.

## Common use cases

* Drop lecture notes in your class group chat right after uploading them.
* Distribute material in a [study group](https://studyflash.com/collaboration/study-groups.md) so everyone builds on their own copy.
* Compare notes: each person saves a copy, adds their own cards, and you see what each of you prioritized.
