# Manage your account

> Update your profile, change your password, manage your subscription, and close your Studyflash account.

Everything account-related lives under **Settings**.

## Profile

Under **Settings → Account Details**, edit your display name and interface language. Your email address cannot be changed; if you signed up with Google or Apple, you log in through that provider and there is no separate Studyflash password.

Signed up with email? Click **Change Password** under **Settings → Account Details** and follow the link Studyflash emails you (check spam if it does not arrive).

## Subscription

If you subscribed on the web, manage everything under **Settings → Subscriptions**: see your plan and renewal date, upgrade, pause, resume, or cancel.

* **Pause**: billing stops at the end of your cycle and resumes automatically after the break. All your data stays intact. Good for holidays or semester breaks.
* **Cancel**: billing ends at the close of the current period. You keep Premium until then, then revert to Free. Your data stays.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Subscribed through the App Store or Play Store? Manage it (including cancellation) in your mobile
> device's subscription settings, not in the Studyflash app.

## Emails

Every Studyflash email has an **Unsubscribe** link in the footer to opt out of that category. Account emails like password resets and receipts cannot be turned off.

## Closing your account

> [!WARNING]
>
> Deletion is permanent: your decks, study history, and progress cannot be recovered. Export
> anything you want to keep first.

Go to **Settings → Close Account**, review the notice, and confirm. There is a short grace period during which you can cancel the deletion: log back in and click **Cancel Account Deletion**, or contact support right away.
