# Account setup & settings

> Set up your Studyflash profile, choose your language, set daily study goals, and find your billing settings.

Set up your account so Max can personalize the content it creates for you. Everything on this page lives under **Settings**.

## Signing up

Create your account with one of three methods:

* **Email and password**: you receive a 6-digit verification code by email. It expires after 10 minutes; check spam or request a new one from the login screen if it does not arrive.
* **Google**: authorize once and you are in.
* **Apple**: use your Apple ID and choose to share or hide your email.

## Profile

Under **Settings → Account Details**, set the name Max uses to address you and upload an avatar. Your name shows up on shared decks and in study groups.

Your email address cannot be changed. Forgot your password? Click **Forgot password?** on the login page to get a reset link.

## Language

Studyflash supports 10 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish. Change yours under **Settings → Account Details → Language**. It affects both the interface and the language Max generates new content in.

## Study goals

Under **Settings → Goals**, set a daily cards target and a daily study time target. Studyflash tracks your streak and shows your progress on the dashboard.

> Start small, even 10 minutes or 20 cards a day. Consistency beats volume with spaced repetition.

## Billing

If you subscribed on the web, your billing settings are under **Settings → Subscriptions**. If you subscribed through the App Store or Play Store, manage your subscription in your mobile device's settings instead (not the Studyflash app).
